Larry & Charlotte

Larry and Charlotte Smith are not only partners in marriage but at work as well in the day to day operation of Smith Home Furnishings.  They always travel together to all the various Markets across the country purchasing and merchandising Smith Home Furnishings making sure it always has the “newest and latest trends” in furniture and accessories.  Larry and Charlotte also feel very blessed and know they owe the success of the business to God and the love and support of the Smith family.  They are very involved in their church and community, and are proud of being “home grown” in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  They’re favorite time is when they are able to get together with their grown adult children on the Holiday’s and sitting with their granddaughter being “Grandpa and Grandma”!

Sean

Sean came to work for Smith Home Furnishings after graduating from Oklahoma State University in May of 2005 with a degree in Business Management.  A native of Ponca City, Sean values the opportunity to live and work in his home town.  As the Sales Manager, Sean enjoys very much the day to day activities of providing management support to the sales staff.   Recognizing the importance of technology in today’s world, Sean works hard at making computers and the internet effective tools for both the sales staff and our customers.

Carolyn

Carolyn has been a Sales Associate with Smith Home Furnishings since 1996. Born and raised in Ponca City, Carolyn appreciates the opportunity to work in her home town.  Before coming to work for Smith’s, Carolyn spent 8 years working in the furniture industry in Rapid City, South Dakota.  Outside of providing excellent customer service, Carolyn enjoys making house calls and creating custom ordered home furnishings.  Carolyn works full-time at Smith’s and greatly values the opportunity to work in such a friendly and professional environment.

Dena

Dena has been a Sales Associate with Smith Home Furnishings since 1998. To many of her customers, Dena is known as “The Red Head.”  Dena greatly enjoys the people she meets, and gets excited about helping customers find just the right furniture for their home.  Working part-time for Smith Home Furnishings, Dena always looks forward to meeting new people and making new friends.

Judy

Judy moved to Ponca City in 2002 from Denver, Co.  Judy has worked in retail sales for a number of years and has owned and operated her own gift shop.  A part-time sales associate, Judy has been with Smith Home Furnishings since 2003.  Judy greatly enjoys helping her customers find just the right furniture for their homes.

Don

Originally from Iowa, Don and his wife moved to Ponca City in 1971 to open Brown’s Shoe Fit.  After working 33 years, Don retired from Brown’s and began working part-time as a Sales Associate at Smith Home Furnishings.  Don supports locally owned businesses and enjoys working and assisting customers with various home furnishing needs.  Outside of work, Don values time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.

Sarah

Sarah started her career in retail furniture sales when she was 19 years old.  At the age of 23, she moved to Ponca City from Tampa, Florida to live closer to her family.  While in Tampa, Sarah worked for Pier One Imports.  During her time at Pier One, she was named “Associate of the Year,” 2 years in a row.  A full-time Sales Associate, Sarah appreciates the friendly atmosphere of Smith Home Furnishings and truly enjoys helping customers acquire furniture that is the perfect fit.

Tim

Tim graduated from Oklahoma State University in December of 2006.  A native of Ponca City, Tim is excited about beginning his professional career in his hometown.   A Full-Time Sales Associate, Tim works hard to make sure every customer he meets receives the best possible service and leaves satisfied.   He is thankful for the opportunity given to him at Smith Home Furnishings and excited about meeting and helping many new people.

Kelly

Originally from Peekskill, N.Y., Kelly Major began working for Smith’s as a Sales Associate in February of 2007.  With a Bachelors Degree in Mgmt Entrepreneurship from Oklahoma State University, Kelly values education and continued personal growth. A very enthusiastic and positive gentleman, Kelly enjoys interacting with customers and looks forward to helping people with their home furnishing needs.

Jackie

Born and raised in Ponca City, Jackie looks forward to working with and meeting new people from her hometown.  A full-time Sales Associate, Jackie has over 9 years experience working in sales.  Outside of work, she enjoys watching HGTV, decorating her home, and spending time with her husband of 43 years.  As well, Jackie is a proud mother and grandmother to 3 sons and 11 grandchildren.

Christal

Born and raised in Ponca City, Christal is proud to be able to live and work in her home town. A mother of 2, she enjoys spending her free time with her children, family, and friends. Christal graduated from PO-HI in 2000 and completed her Associates Degree in May of 2009. A full-time Sales Associate, Christal looks forward to meeting new people each day and works hard to make each customer’s shopping experience positive and fun.

Karen

In 1997, Karen came to work for Smith Home Furnishings in Customer Service.  After a few years, Karen moved into inventory control and soon after accepted the position of Office Manager.   Karen and family moved to Ponca City from Il in 1985.  Some of Karen’s hobbies include quilting, reading, watching football, and listening to music.

Ashley

Ashley is the Assistant Office Manager and has worked for Smith Home Furnishings since March of 2003.  In addition to providing excellent customer service, Ashley assists customers with our financing programs, schedules deliveries, and carries out various office responsibilities.  Raised in Blackwell, OK, Ashley still lives there with her husband.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Joan

Joan is the Financial Secretary and has worked for Smith Home Furnishings since October, 1998.  Joan handles the accounts payables, human resources, taxes, and all bookkeeping entries.  Raised in Colonial Heights, Virginia, Joan moved here in March, 1998, to be near her son and two grandchildren.  She enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

Lindy

Lindy started with Smith Home Furnishings in December of 2008, working full time in our office.  She has lived in Ponca City since 1979, and has 2 grown children.  A flower gardener and animal lover, Lindy likes being outdoors and involved with nature.  In her spare time, she enjoys working on her friend’s farm, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Esther

Esther started with Smith Home Furnishings in Aug. 2006.  She works part time in the office.  Esther lives in Ponca City with her husband and son.  Outside of work Esther enjoys cooking, painting, arts and crafts, and most of all spending time with family.

Waymond

Waymond started working for Smith Home Furnishings as a Warehouse Worker in 1998  With nearly 15 years of management experience under his belt, it wasn’t long before Waymond was promoted to Warehouse Manager.  As Warehouse Manager, Waymond is responsible for the day to day warehouse and delivery activities.  Born and raised in Ponca City, OK, and a graduate of Ponca City Senior High, Waymond is a proud husband and father of 3.

Che

Che started with Smith Home Furnishings in Oct. 1994.  He is our Customer Service Manager.  Che takes great pride in maintaining customer satisfaction after delivery.  On the weekends he enjoys fishing, cooking, and spending time with family.
